A Colorful Eye Look With UD 15th Anniversary Palette

Friday, September 2nd, 2011

My, that was an imaginative headline.. I didn’t know what to call this post really. I was playing around with my latest love last weekend and ended up using six of the shadows in the 15th Anniversary Eyeshadow Collection. I don’t think I’ve ever used that many at once!

Eyes
Urban Decay – Primer Potion all over lid and blended up to the browbone
Urban Decay – Flow on inner half of eyelid, and under the inner part lower lashline
Urban Decay – Junkshow on outer half of lid, blended into Flow
Urban Decay – Deep End in crease
Urban Decay – Omen in lower part of the crease and outer v
Urban Decay – Half Truth in outer v
Urban Decay – Vanilla in inner corners and on browbone
Urban Decay – 24/7 pencil eyeliner along outer half of lower lashline, with Omen on top
Isadora – Inliner Kajal in Blond on lower waterline
Smashbox – Hyperlash Mascara
ELF – Cream eyeliner in Black (I think it is, my memory is bad..)
Viva La Diva – Mix & Match Eyebrow Color

I see that I should have taken the eyeliner a bit further in, but other than that I’m pretty happy with this look.

It’s not really a look I would wear at work, but I could definitely sport this at a party!

Orange/Pink EOTD

Sunday, June 5th, 2011

I went to a BBQ with some friends this weekend and wanted some colorful eyes, so I decided to pick up on the orange and pink shades from the dress I was wearing:

699355

Product list
Too Faced – Shadow Insurance
Meow – Passion on entire lid
Brite Bird – Orange shadow from the “It’s Bright Right?” duo on outer third of the lid and slightly in crease
Bride Bird – Hot pink shadow from the “It’s Bright Right?” in outer v and in crease
MAD – Cancun Sand on browbone
Isadora – Inliner kajal Blonde on water line
Sugarpill – Bulletproof to line upper lash line
Urban Decay – Skyscraper Multi-Benefit Mascara
Claudia – Wonderlash Mascara on lower lashes
Viva La Diva – Mix & Match Eyebrow Color, medium brown shade used to lightly fill in eyebrows

As you can see in the product list I’ve used TFSI as my eyeshadow primer this time, I usually go for Urban Decay’s Primer Potion. I’ve tried TFSI a few times now and to be honest I don’t find much of a difference except for the color, as in this one is slightly more yellow. The eyeshadow stays put all day long without creasing, so for me I’d say they’re just as good!

As usual I didn’t get any good photos of the look, so here are the ones that are least bad.

Taken indoors with flash.

And the last photo is in direct sunlight. I tried to take one photo with my eyes open but it was impossible due to my vampiric nature =)

Pink EOTD

Monday, February 7th, 2011

I seldom post any eye looks, and that’s mostly due to the fact that I never have time to photograph them. But here’s a little something that I managed to snap a few shots of. This is a soft pink and purple look using shadows from Brite Bird, by the lovely Sanna of MakeupMyLack.

List of what I’ve used:

Urban Decay – Primer Potion
Brite Bird – Foam Candy all over lid and in crease
Brite Bird – Color Me Crazy applied lightly in outer v and into crease
Brite Bird – Cream Cat to highlight browbone
Everyday Minerals – Smokey on outer half of upper lash line
Lumene – Blueberry Curl Waterproof Mascara on top lashes (at least I think it is..)
Make Up Store – Treatment Mascara on lower lashes
Isadora – Inliner kajal in Blonde on lower water line
Viva La Diva – Mix & Match Eyebrow Color

It’s not the best lighting, but it’ll have to do.

Cream Cat is probably my most used pigment. It’s a wonderful highlighter that’s perfect if you don’t want a too shimmery look, but not too matte either. If the Brite Bird store opens again you should definitely check it out!
