My Easter Manicure with MIYO

I had big plans for my nails yesterday, but as usual time ran out and all I had was two coats of polish that didn't give full coverage. So today I fixed it up a bit so I can show it to you. I've tried some creme polishes from the new brand MIYO, the pink Cocktail that you've probably seen on other blogs a while ago, and the yellow Sunny. I ended up with four coats of each to make it even and then a coat of Seche Vite. The formula is pretty nice on these, and they dry pretty fast. But to be honest I generally suck at applying creme polishes, that's one of the reasons I usually stick to shimmery ones. If you're better than me you can probably get away with two-three coats. The photos are taken in cloudy weather:

Cocktail is a beautiful and soft bubblegum pink.

Sunny is a nice yellow polish, it's not so warm so that it leans to orange, it's just plain yellow. It's actually my second yellow creme ever, the first one being a 15 year old dried up thing from some cheap brand that I don't remember at the moment. So, to make this more Easter like I took my dotting tools for a spin, and ended up with this creation:

I've used the following polishes for the design: White - China Glaze Snow Turquoise - China Glaze Aquadelic Orange - Viva La Diva 115 Black - NYX Ink Nail art I should probably have used white on all the eyes and not just the thumb, but I guess they look okay that way as well. Layering with Milani Cyberspace

I'm taking a little break from my Easter preparations to show you my contribution to Kerstin's Holo Friday, Milani Cyberspace layered on top of China Glaze Midnight Mission. I had been wearing the dark blue Midnight Mission for a few days before I added a coat of the light blue holographic polish Cyberspace from the Milani 3D collection. I really like the dark blue shade this combination gave. Fortunately the sun was out so I could get some decent photos.

The scattered holographic effect is wonderful, I didn't really manage to capture all of its beauty.

Tonight I'll be working on my Easter manicure, I'm thinking of going with yellow and pink. Do you have any plans for what to wear on your nails for Easter?

China Glaze – LOL

So, it's time for Holo Fri.. Saturday? I haven't had time to try a new holographic polish this week, but I managed to dig up some old photos from October last year. I've shown the purple holographic LOL from China Glaze once before on the blog, but that was a long time ago and with not so good photos. I don't remember how many coats I did, but probably three or four, And I don't think I had any major problems with dragging. And thankfully I managed to capture this one in the sun:

I've probably worn it for a few days here, hence the tip wear. It's a dark cool purple, the sun probably made it look a bit warmer here.

This is one of my favorites from the OMG collection, purple and holographic can never go wrong!
