Oh Fashionista!

Fashionista from H&M is one of my favorite purple polishes at the moment, so I decided to put that on. But it had gone a little thick and I totally messed up my nails. What to do? Well, why not save it with some flakies! Said and done, I chose Nfu Oh #50 which is a purple based jelly with turqoise flakes in it. It’s fairly easy to get an even coverage of the flakes. A couple of them ended up over the edge of the nails, but you can just cut them off.

Isn’t it just lovely?

After I took these photos it was cleaning time, and as you all know this involves a big risk of nails flying..

.. And I killed my thumb nail. So from here on my nails will look a little shorter, as I like to keep them even in length.

BFF

This is the second polish I’ve tried from China Glaze’s OMG-collection. I find it a little hard to describe the color, but compared to QT (which is a darker hot pink), this is a bit weaker and a tad more purple. In the shadow there’s not much happening, but in bright lights and in the sun the holographic effect shows up, and I love it!

Indirect light.

In sunlight it comes alive!

LOL

My first holographic polish ever, LOL from China Glaze OMG-collection. And boy am I in love! It’s a gorgeous darker purple, which is probably my favorite color to wear on my nails. The application is a little hard with the OMG-polishes, as the polish tends to get dragged away when you go over it a second time. But if you just take your time it’s totally worth it! I think I have three layers, which is normal for me. Unfortunately the sun didn’t want to come out and play while I was taking the photos, so I had to make do with artificial light.

Kitty aproves of LOL. Taken outside in the shadow.

Photo with flash. I hope you can see some of the holographic goodness going on here.

Pink Voltage

I was just browsing through the few China Glaze polishes that are available here in Sweden, and first thought this was a basic pink neon. But when I inspected it closer I saw a hint of shimmer, and I knew I had to take it home with me. Since it’s pretty sheer I first applied a coat of Depend no. 34 which is a neon pink creme. I don’t remember how many coats of Pink Voltage I applied but I think it was at least two. It’s quite a subtle shimmer with a blueish flash, and that’s what I really like about this polish despite it being sheer. It was quite hard to photograph this one, but I’ve tried to get the photos as near the real color as possible.

Here you can see some of the blue/purple shimmer.

Yes, I have an evil looking cat.. =)

L.A. Girl Chromium Green

This is the first color I’ve bought from the L.A. Girl Metal collection (but it won’t be the last!), and it’s a beautiful green metallic shade with lots of silver microglitter. The color does look a bit more teal in some lights, kind of like Head Banging from the Rockstar collection. The formula is fantastic, it’s easy to apply and you can get full coverage with two coats. L.A. Girl is one of my top favorite brands, the colors and formulas are right up my alley!

As you can see it doesn’t look that green here, but I still think it’s pretty accurate.

This photo is taken in direct sunlight, and I’ve tried to color correct it to show the green shade.

Extra photo to show the color on my toenails at a safe distance =) This is Depends no. 164, which is a beautiful shimmery dark pink color, full of glittery goodness. You can get away with just one coat of this polish, it’s fantastic! I’ll be sure to post some more detailed photos of this next time I wear it.
